Remote Work Control System

RWCS is a client-server IT system for executing defined RWCS tasks on a client machine (or machine). It supports "master" users who create RWCS tasks, and "pretender" users who must execute these tasks (by running the client program) according to a specified schedule. System configuration allows for both automatic (from a file) and manual authentication required to run the client program. It is also possible to associate the hardware and/or logical identifiers of a client machine with its account in a specific group of accounts on the server. For example, to enforce the uniqueness of machines in a given "pretender" group, request a specific device type/model, etc.
For example, if our challenger had specific tasks to perform on a computer, we, as the supervisor (master), would like to assess whether it performed them reliably (evaluated remotely, of course). We then write an RWCS task—a sequence of RWCS instructions that will execute any necessary commands on the client machine, such as downloading a file from the network, running a program/script, or anything else. The results of the relevant RWCS instructions are fed into a coherent report (which can then be processed automatically—the "master" user can create appropriate scripts to process the reports according to their own needs). Additionally, we can impose conditions on the hardware on which the challenger will run, using identifiers available in the system (e.g., disk serial number). The client program is available in versions for Linux and Linux AMR and also works on MS Windows (based on the WSL/WSL2 subsystem).
I created and used RWCS for several years while working as a teacher of vocational practical subjects at an IT technical school. It was the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, lessons were held remotely and I can't imagine it my job if I didn't have this tool (sic!). As it turned out, this system also works perfectly in normal (stationary) conditions.
