∗ Albums ∗

I’m presenting here my original music albums, officially published. Apart from me, You can also hear musicians with whom I had the pleasure to work, exchange views and inspire each other.
I still try to improve my skills in composing and playing keyboards and I still try to achieve a „higher level of initiation”… and I hope that each of my next album will be proof of that ;-)

The 21st century brought me a lot of perturbation in my life and the crisis situation in the country meant that I had to deal with many non-musical things - but I managed to compile this small collection and publish it in my closeenvironment. My playing on this mini album is inspired by the expressive dreams that I have experienced under the influence of what had a significant influence on me and I think that the Listener will really feel that the atmosphere of these songs comes from „the land of dreams”.
The “Tenar” band (track no. 5), in which I played in 1995, appeared on my horizon as suddenly an he disappeared… Tomek - the leader and composer plays the saxophone and sings here, Radek plays on bass guitar and Mariusz plays on drums (I have never known his names*). Despite not the best technical quality of the tape I decided that I wanted to have this track on my album.

Krzysztof Żurek - Old DaeMon Supplement

Completion (as the title suggests) of the album "OldDaeMon" contains 13 tracks from the same period, which I wanted to save from oblivion, because they deserve - in my opinion - to be presented to a wider audience - all of them were realized in analogy technique, a few of them are live recordings - unique sound recordings of improvisation (for example "Colour Of Kawai") - also a band improvisation ("The Cox - Live II"), which is an end in itself giving joy and incredible satisfaction from unrestricted music-making. Anyway, improvisation is a very frequent element on this album - not always as if it seemed to be the foreground
"The Cox - Live II" it's a fragment of the attempt, where You can also hear my musical companions:
Jarosław Owcarz (Jery) - the originator of the ostinato bass guitar;
Piotr Skoblewski - on drums;
Krzysztof Domański - on electric guitar.
In "Triangolo" (track no. 9) the triangle is struck by Piotr Zbyszyński (Zbylu).
I'm very grateful to all of them for the fact that together we were able to travel to another world.

Krzysztof Żurek - Old DaeMon
Title:Old DaeMon
Release date:1-10-2000
Number of tracks / Total time: 19 / 57 min. 14 sek.
Graphics designers:W. Bartosiak & K. Żurek
Volume of he 1'st edition:100
Medium type:Compact Disc - Audio CD

The album contains songs performed in the 10-years period (1990-2000). This is a specific mixture of different moods and concepts. I would say that it is a kind of "tape music" - a collection of music that is already an analogue medium - a master tape, which has lost quality over the years ... It concerns 17 recordings - 2 exceptions (which probably a skilful ear will hear) were made on digital equipment, however - in my aesthetic ideas they are not departing from the main assumptions of the album.

They also present themselves on the album:
Marek Suski - sings and plays the electroacoustic guitar in "Do you still want to go?" (track No. 16),
Kamil Buczkowski - has programmed Korg's drums and plays the electric guitar in his own song "Magda" (track No. 14),
Andrzej Cyngot (Dziejus) - has composed the rhythmic sequence of the song "Bees" (track No. 15) and plays bass in "Do you still want to go?" (track No. 16),
India Czajkowska - improvises vocals and on flutes in "The Magic Room" (track no. 11) and "India'n" (track No. 12),
Wojciech Bartosiak - the originator of "Duo dance" (track no. 13) and the "Matołka" sequence (track No. 17) - plays on the Roland D10 synthesizer.
At this point, I would like to thank Them all for their positive energy and spirit, which they have breathed into this album, tinting it cosmically...
